Regenerative Power of Peptides

Peptide therapy is relatively new to the U.S., but has been used in Australia and Russia for,  respectively, about 30 and 50 years. The science of peptides has been around since the 1970s and continues to grow. Peptides can help improve our immune system, help us look and feel younger, boost our libido levels, protect our DNA, help us lose body fat, reduce inflammation, sleep deeper and help our brains become sharper.

One of the most common peptides prescribed is a growth hormone secretagogue called Ipamorelin. Secretagogue is a substance that causes another substance to be secreted. In the case of Ipamorelin, it causes the pituitary gland to secrete more of an individual’s growth hormone. Of particular a positive note, in a 1990 study published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Dr. Daniel Rudman noted higher levels of human growth hormone (HGH) in men ranging from 61 to 81 years old that were given Ipamorelin, conferring significant health benefits and slowing the aging process.
