Microneedling with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) or Peptide Gel

Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy, is a form of regenerative medicine that makes use of our body’s ability to heal itself and enhance the natural growth factors your body uses to heal tissue.

Platelet-Rich plasma, or PRP, is a substance that promotes healing when injected. Plasma is a component of your blood that contains special proteins, that help your blood to clot. It also contains proteins that support cell growth. When injecting PRP into damaged tissues, the PRP will stimulate your body to grow new, healthy cells and promote healing, therefore reducing the prominence of scars, wrinkles, sun damage, and dark circles. Your skin will be tighter and more radiant. PRP facial treatment uses your own blood’s platelets and plasma to be injected on your face. The platelet-rich plasma can either be injected into deeper wrinkles or micro-needled into the skin. Once the plasma is in, it begins to do its work of rejuvenating your face, tightening wrinkled areas and smoothing and improving the texture of your skin. It’s able to do that because PRP stimulates collagen growth.

The benefits of PRP treatment include:

PRP stimulates collagen and elastin production which thickens and tightens thinning skin. Because it boosts collagen, it’s also a great treatment for improving overall skin texture and tone.

PRP uses your own natural elements without the addition of any foreign products. Common signs of aging such as lines and wrinkles are treated with PRP to stimulate cellular turnover, and form new collagen and elastin. As a result of the procedure, your skin tightens naturally in response to your body’s own ability to heal.

Because it uses your own blood, PRP is very safe. It’s also not a new treatment. It’s long been recognised and used in the hospital system and in sports medicine for its effective wound healing properties.

The procedure takes about 20 minutes and individual results vary, but typically the effects of PRP treatment last around 12 to 18 months after a series of three treatments.

Microneedling with Peptide Gel

Microneedling can also be done without PRP. We have a variety of peptide gels that can be used on the skin to help promote collagen. Collagen is the most abundant protein in our body and helps support our skin, hair and nails. As we age, the production of collagen levels in our body decreases.

Microneedling Treatment Schedule

We recommend 3-4 treatments 4-6 weeks apart, then a treatment every 6 months for maintenance.
